Algorithm Watch is an initiative of journalists, social scientists, and computer scientists who analyze the effects of algorithmic decision making on society.

In addition to private companies, it becomes apparent that also public authorities will employ methods for algorithmic decision making in the near future¹.

While algorithmic decision methods can have a beneficial effect, they presumably introduce also substantial risks².
